How do I add a link to a single blog entry into the index of Flatiron?

I have tried to do this by creating a page in the index, which allows me to set the thumbnail image, then add a redirect in the page advanced settings Page Header Code Injection that points to the actual blog entry. Example:

<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://sitename.squarespace.com/articles/2013/3/13/title">

It seems to only work intermittently while previewing the page, but never when the site is viewed normally.

Any ideas on how to make this work?
