Trying to decide what width my site background image should be.... I personally hate seeing the seam on repeated backgrounds, so want to avoid that. I work on a 27" iMac so I made my background image 2560 px wide. Looks great on my display and those with smaller displays or lower resolutions, but I realize some folks may have huge displays they set at higher res, etc. What do you guys think a good compromise is? This is a fairly high-end site so I want to consider that the audience may have big displays.....
(it is the water image in this screenshot that I am talking about. This is on a 27" iMac so you don't see nearly as much on a more normal display. The main content area is the Dovetail default of 1140 px wide)
