Is there a way to make changes to a blog post that has already been published on your site and on social networks without it reposting again to the social outlets?

I just published a blog post on my website and had it also post on Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter, but I forgot to add tags and a category to it. The last time I published a blog post I wanted to add a picture to represent it so I added and saved the changes and when I went to my Facebook, it had posted twice. Is there a way around this?
