Good morning everyone -
Not super in-tune with what is available and what type of coding would need to be done to get to what I am looking for, so bear with me.
Our company is MM Local Foods (www.mmlocalfoods.com). Among other channels, we sell what could be considered a CSA (community supported agriculture) where we take payment up front (sometimes up to 8 months in advance) and deliver the product at year end. Customers choose their "share" size and any addons that they would like. Think of it as buying your cable package and then adding on specialty programming like HBO, Showtime, etc. We've found that we communicate how this works the best when folks have a form to fill out that takes them from Step 1 to Step 4. This isn't possible on Shopify.
We currently have an e-Commerce site on Shopify (www.mm-local-foods.myshopify.com). We'd love to move this on-site to our SS6 platform and use the new SS6 e-Commerce machine. However, after playing in SS6, it feels like we'll get the same result - traditional e-Commerce where the customer has a hard time moving from Step to Step unless they click back and we have a hard time conveying the selection process.
Can we create a "form" style checkout process where the customer selects from drop downs, adds these selections to their cart and check-out at the bottom of the page? (using SS6 Commerce or creating it ourselves?) If Commerce cannot do this, any idea of scope/difficulty/cost of creating this?
Many thanks in advance and I would love to chat with anyone who has interest in this project.
Best - Adam Grifkin
